American Community Medical Center Inc. (ACMC) is a Wisconsin Non-Profit Corporation located at 1421 South Park Street, Madison, WI 53715.

ACMC is a community-based organization dedicated to providing quality medical care to low-income, uninsured and underinsured persons at a sliding scale fee. We follow the Wisconsin Department of Public Health’s guidelines for Income verification for clients who wish to take advantage of no cost or sliding scale fees. ACMC takes most insurance, however there is no copay or any other cost to clients.

The Safavi family believes that the inability to pay should not prevent people from receiving health care. To this end, ACMC provides free medical consultation to those who cannot afford.  However, written pre-approval is required to get free medical consultation.  ACMC places a strong emphasis on providing non-judgmental, compassionate care, respecting the dignity and self-worth of every patient.

ACMC has not received or applied for any Federal, State or local funding. ACMC's entire funding came from the Safavi family concerned about our community’s health. ACMC is governed by volunteer Board of Directors representing at present the Safavi family members. However, the board is considering including some members from a cross-section of the community. Although, ACMC has some paid low level staff members most Medical and administrative services are provided primarily by volunteer Physicians; Nurse Practitioners; Physician Assistants; and Medical Assistants. Our Board of Directors, key providers and administrators are all dedicated and provide honorary services to make out community healthier.
